| What We're about |
|
BC United Soccer Association is a youth competitive soccer club that promotes soccer
and the development of the individual through a competitive soccer program. The goal
of BC United is to enable all youth who have a desire to play soccer at a high level,
a place on a team to do so. BC United is pleased to offer soccer programs for boys
and girls to play competitive soccer for age groups from U-8 to U-19.
|
| |
|
We are proud to have a training staff led by Paul Marco of the Binghamton University
Men's Soccer Program. Several Binghamton University coaches and players, local high
school coaches and parent coaches supplement the coaching staff.
|
| |
|
BC United offers a soccer program at the classic travel team level and the Premier
(Fusion Teams) level. Our classic travel teams compete in local competitive travel
leagues and tournaments during the winter and spring seasons (November through June).
These local leagues and tournaments offer high level of competition with minimal travel.
|
| |
|
BC United offers a premier soccer programs called Fusion for those players ages U13
and above that are looking to experience a very high level of competitive play. BC
United's teams and players have had great success over the years in high school soccer,
local and regional competitive soccer leagues and tournaments.
|
| |
|
During the 2006-2007 season we had several teams that placed first or second in winter
indoor leagues and outdoor leagues both locally and regionally. Our teams have won
several tournaments within the local area and throughout the Northeast. In 2007, BC
United had six teams earn the right to compete in the highly competitive New York State
West State Cup Final 4 weekend.
|
| |
|
Several of our players have been selected to play on the New York State West Olympic
Development Program team (ODP). Many of our players that have graduated high school
have or are currently playing soccer at the College level Division I through III.

| |
|
BC United is proud to own its own soccer complex, which consists of 85 acres of land
behind the Ann G. McGuinness Elementary School with six soccer fields.

BC United Club Fees
|
- The registration fee for each player is $50 for U11 players and above, which covers
New York State West fees, insurance fees and general club operation expenses. This fee is
collected at registration/tryouts. The fee for U10 and below is $35.
- The club fee of $100 per family is to cover the club operation expenses such as
maintenance and development of the complex. This fee is collected twice per year: $50 on
January 1st and $50 on April 1st. (This applies to U11 and above players)
- The club fees do not cover the cost for leagues, uniforms, tournaments, training and
indoor facility rental.
- Individual expenses for item #3 will vary by team.

BC United Fund Raisers
|
There are no mandated club fundraisers in BC United. Any fundraisers are the choice of the
family. If a player participates in a fundraiser, all the profit from the fundraiser is
returned to the player. BC United will organize a couple of fundraisers each year, mainly
candy sales. Some teams may choose to run fundraisers on their own as well. In the past,
several players have raised enough to cover all of their expenses. It is entirely up to
the family to decide.

|
Volunteering
|
|
There are many different programs and tournaments throughout the year that help raise
money for the operation of BC United in order to keep the club registration and club fee
down. In order to do this, volunteers are needed. A family in BC United should plan on
10 hours per year of volunteering. Whether it is working on the field setup in the spring,
selling raffle tickets at a tournament or helping repair the soccer fields, there is
always something that needs to be done. BC United appreciates your time to help the
organization out.
